The Leland Emergency Strobe Light II is a unique XENON powered strobe operating at 6vdc with a powerful Halogen steady beam flashlight on the other end. This combination is durable and waterproof to 100 meters. On the surface, it floats and can be seen for several miles making it ideal for search and rescue. Included is a red filter lens which significantly reduces glare and allows night vision to be maintained for pilots and mariners. Firefighters have used this product for years on their helmets. The only reason why this rescue strobe is not U.S.C.G approved is because it does not have a ‘positive means of attachment’ such a stainless steel locking pin.
