Developed as a result of Mustang
Survival's ongoing commitment to provide the highest level of
protection in operationally compatible flight equipment, the MAC200
offers all the comfort and flexibility of Mustang's Anti-Exposure
Coveralls(MS195FR), while providing the
protection of a traditional dry suit.
Mustang's patented "Breathability
System" enhances comfort and reduces heat stress during long or
difficult missions. The unique helical zipper configuration combines
the entry and relief zippers into one unit that will accommodate the
needs of both male and female aircrew. The adjustable wrist and neck
seals provide a level of comfort previously unachieved in a suit
that provides this degree of protection and performance. With the
MAC200's modular system, users will realize reduced life-cycle
maintenance costs as each component can be repaired or replaced
individually.
Designed to provide a high level
of hypothermia protection, even in the event of leakage or damage to
the suit, the MAC200 is a close fitting Aviation Survival System.
The anti-static, flame resistant Nomex®
outer shell is reinforced in high abrasion areas with rugged leather
panels. A protective hood, inflatable mitts, and a durable carry
case is included. The MAC200 is compatible with a variety of
lifejackets and aircrew survival equipment.
Hypothermia Protection:
When tested on a thermally insulated manikin, the MAC200 was
measured at 0.91 Immersed Clo in calm (stirred) water, with the neck
and wrist closures secured and the thermal protective hood and
inflatable gloves donned.
Immersed Clo 0.91

Flame Resistance: The
MAC200 Constant Wear Aviation Suit's Nomex®
layers provide outstanding protection from fire. The thermal liner
also provides additional protection against radiant heat. Together,
the MAC200 integrated system offers superb performance without
compromising comfort.
Flotation: The MAC200
provides an inherent buoyancy of approximately 23 lbs., size, fit
and underclothing dependent. This is designed to be well below the
35 lbs. maximum recommended for ditched helicopter egress, yet more
than the 15.5 lbs. minimum buoyancy required for a personal
flotation device (PFD).
