MD4030 - This life preserver from Mustang Survival can take a direct hit from a fire arm or fragment and still inflate. The MD4030 Marine Damage Tolerant Life Preserver (DTLP) is designed for tactical boarding parties, and uses Auto Hydrostatic inflator technology HIT™. In the event of accidental immersion, the damage tolerant life preserver automatically inflates in 4 or more inches of water and self-rights an unconscious user. The protective cover is made of durable, high tenacity nylon that will stand up to the toughest missions. For missions that require manually activated inflation, the optional MA7219 conversion cap can reconfigure the PFD from automatic to manually activated inflation. The MD4030 comes standard with two Kevlar® ballistic pouches MA4050. These pouches cover the CO² cylinders
and prevent them from becoming a projectile hazard in the event they are penetrated by small arms fire or fragmentation. Testing has shown that if unprotected, the cylinder separates from its inflator when struck and is extremely hazardous to the wearer.
