space is wearing an inflatable life preserver from Mustang Survival.
HYPOTHERMIA
PROTECTION
The Flight Commander is
engineered to conform to Standard CAN/CGSB-65.17-M88 for helicopter
passenger transportation suit systems. The clo value for this
system surpasses .85.
The stowaway neoprene hood
deploys quickly and provides additional thermal protection. Flight
Commander also comes complete with inflatable survival mitts.
FLOTATION
The Flight Commander provides 32
lbs. (145N) of controlled buoyancy within the suit for egressing
from an inverted helicopter. The inflatable lifejacket provides 135
lbs. (600N) of buoyancy. When deployed, the lifejacket provides the
ultimate in freeboard performance while allowing the person to climb
into a raft without deflating the jacket.
