MS2000 - New levels of comfort and performance have been achieved in the MS200 Flight Commander helicopter transport suit through the use of durable lightweight materials combined with a new concept in dry suit protection. Ratchet type wrist and neck seals have replaced the traditional latex seals for improved comfort and ventilation while the suit is worn in cabin. The seals quickly cinch tightly to restrict water entry on immersion.

The Flight Commander System including lifejacket weighs only 14.5 lbs. This is a weight reduction of almost 50% versus our previous transit suit system. Weight reduction has been achieved through the use of a lightweight snap in EVA foam liner and high performance 210 denier nylon.

The Flight Commander is available in 8 standard sizes for a comfortable trim fit. Leg zippers quickly snug around the legs.

The Flight Commander is easy to don due to its supple tailored construction. Typical donning time is 45-60 seconds.

HYPOTHERMIA PROTECTION

The Flight Commander is engineered to conform to Standard CAN/CGSB-65.17-M88 for helicopter passenger transportation suit systems. The clo value for this system surpasses .85.

The stowaway neoprene hood deploys quickly and provides additional thermal protection. Flight Commander also comes complete with inflatable survival mitts.

FLOTATION

The Flight Commander provides 32 lbs. (145N) of controlled buoyancy within the suit for egressing from an inverted helicopter. The inflatable lifejacket provides 135 lbs. (600N) of buoyancy. When deployed, the lifejacket provides the ultimate in freeboard performance while allowing the person to climb into a raft without deflating the jacket.

The Flight Commander Helicopter Passenger Transportation Suit is supplied in 8 standard sizes with capabilities to increase this standard sizing by an additional 8 sizes.
