ROPE CHALLENGE COURSE
HIGH ROPES
Elements
or obstacles 30'+ above the ground.
The ultimate in the self
empowerment of an individual is high rope courses. With direct
supervision from either the ground or atop, participants negotiate a
course while attached to an overhead fall arrest system.
It's easy to walk along
a balance beam lying flat on the ground, but transfer that beam to the
height of a three story building, or a tree top, and it ceases to be
just a physical challenge; it becomes a mental one too.
Each
obstacle in the high ropes requires a high degree of both physical and
mental commitment from the participant. The various high elements
provide opportunities for participants to expand their comfort zones,
sometimes dramatically, and to overcome fears that block personal
development and achievement.
More daring participants
can test their skills by leaping from a "Pamper Pole", gripping their
way across a "Multi Vine" and climbing their way up a "Climbing Wall".
Pamper
Pole begins with an individual climbing to the top of a freestanding
pole. The participant then stands up and leaps to a hanging tether
ball, falling a few feet before the safety harness brings them to a
stop.
The following elements
are popular in a high ropes challenge course. They can be built in a
variety of ways between trees, poles or inside buildings.
